“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other, wings.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I truly believe that the best we – as educators – can provide for this and future generations is to create an environment and school ethos in which children can feel secure, happy and engaged for learning; therefore, they can become open-minded, respectful, digitally literate, happy and successful international citizens. My every day aim is to offer all that and the best learning opportunities for our AIS students.
Day by day I fulfil the financial and bookkeeping tasks of the school where the best and the most modern infrastructure and work environment is provided. For me it is very important to work for a well-respected international school. As a member of the management team I do all my best for the AIS to be able to achieve its short and long-term plans.
I am the School Officer of AIS. I am very happy to be a member of a technically and professionally high quality institute with a positive athmosphere where the staff is always smiling, ready to help and open-minded. My colleagues and I always pay attention to the smallest details. I hope that with my professional experience I can greatly contribute to the successful operation and everyday life of the school.
My name is Sean, and I provide communication skills to willing participants in my English class. Teaching is best summed up as sharing through stories and examples. Through compassion all things can be taught.
I am from sunny South Africa and I have taught in six different countries. I love helping people and I am passionate about animals.
My view on education is the following:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
I am a multilingual international educator with more than twenty-two years of experience. I have taught in a wide range of schools in America, Asia and Europe. I facilitate a student-centred classroom where students learn through discovery and real-life problem solving. I am excited to be a part of the Avalon International School Team.
As a part of the Early Years Team, I work to create a classroom environment where the children are active, confident, and excited to learn! I hope to guide each child as he or she grows not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. I make sure that each student enters and exits my classroom with a smile each day!
Starting my teaching career in the helpful and well-prepared AIS team felicitates me! As a history teacher, I think children should be creativley prepared for today’s challenges with examples from the past to be able to cope with their future tasks easily. Both students and teachers can flourish in Avalon International School.
I believe it is important to keep education fun and exciting, so our students can become eager learners. Avalon International School is a perfect place for a child to make friends, learn and grow and as teachers we make sure this journey is smooth and successful.
I am originally from California, USA. I have been teaching internationally for 7 years, including, Turkey, South Korea, and China. I love teaching because learning is fun! My favorite teaching quote is “Mistakes are opportunities to learn.” We can create a beautiful and positive environment here at Avalon International School. I love being a part of the AIS team in the Nursery school.
According to my education and experience I know that everyone is talented that makes them unique and wise. My aim is to find that talent in everyone and improve it with a great mixture of teaching methods. In AIS everyone is working for that common aim as a great supportive team.
I am very happy to be part of this Team. It is great to work with such happy, kind and clever people. The love of the children, their affections and their eagerness to learn makes me a better person every day.
As a nursery teacher my duty is to provide fun and rewarding classes each day. I regularly incorporate music into my lessons to encourage self expression and promote self-confidence. I believe that an international approach to education which embraces traditional values is the key to a brighter future.
I am happy to be at work with the Nursery Department at AIS! The aim in is to create a classroom environment where the children are active, confident, and excited to transition into every next stage of their development!
