Miskolc, 30th April, 2020. In regard of the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic situation, the management of Avalon International School has decided to accept applications from international students according to a stricter protocol. Due to these measures, the school announced an extended application to fill the vacant places (limited number), mainly for those who live in Miskolc and in the surrounding area.
Even though enrolment period for the new academic year has officially closed, the epidemic that has a huge outcome on everyone’s life, has brought some changes. As an international educational institution, Avalon International School, has introduced a more strict admission process for the incoming applications. Because of the enforcement of the protocol, new places have been opened for prospective students, in order to fill these places. Therefore Avalon International School announces an extended application which gives priority to local applicants. For the 2020/2021 academic year, post-enrolment is provided until 30th June 2020, which can be submitted by parents as filling in the online application form on the school’s website.
Avalon International School’s curriculum is based on the Cambridge pedagogical programme that has a 150-year history. From the first day of school, students can study in a stress-free, relaxed environment thankfully to the the British educational programme which enhances the children’s potential as they develop knowledge, skills, creativity, innovative and critical thinking which are all personalized to the children’s individual competencies and needs. The main goal of AIS teachers is to educate students to be responsible for their own learning, to be open-minded, as well as to be independent learners and good decision makers. All above that, several After School Clubs are provided by the school free of charge in the afternoons. Children can choose from 12 different types of after-school activities, depending on their interests. Additionally, due to AIS’s commitment to education and the social correspondence of the company group, it is also possible to apply for a scholarship programme – in the name of equal opportunities – which conditions are decided exclusively by the Director of Boards.
